The Palos Verdes Library District is a Special District governed by a Board of Library Trustees. Our board consists of five elected members who are qualified voters and residents of the District. Trustees serve without pay for four-year staggered terms and may be re-elected. The Board has three officers: President, Vice President, and Secretary. What the Board Does
The Board of Library Trustees provides policy direction, fiscal oversight, and long-range planning for the Palos Verdes Library District. The Board appoints and evaluates the Library Director, adopts the annual budget, approves policies, and helps ensure that library services reflect the needs of the community.

Guests may access regularly scheduled monthly meetings using the Zoom platform. Special Board meetings may not be available to attend via Zoom. Please note that when attending any board meeting virtually, the public will be muted by default.
To participate in public comments, please email [email protected] prior to the meeting in order to be called on to address the Board of Library Trustees, or prior to the close of public comment on an item.
